The Mind is Currency

I recently asked several people to define currency.  Responses included: money, coins, cabbage, green backs, bucks, corn bread, dinero and paper to name a few. But the better definition establishes currency as anything that can be used in exchange for a product or service. Currency is so much more than money. In fact, currency is stored in our minds as coded messages containing details and blue prints necessary for building an abundant future, to leave an incredible legacy and footprints for others to follow. Biblically speaking, we were born with everything we need for life and success. In other words, like a fingerprint, each one of us has a predetermined future uniquely designed specifically for each of us.  The problem, our minds are so distracted with the cares of daily living, we never take the time nor seize opportunities to focus on the dream and accomplish the work needed to make them reality.

If you will allow yourself to deliberate on this teaching for a little while you will understand that everything we utilize in our day to day lives was created, developed, born out of an idea and invented by someone. Apple icon Steve Jobs had an IDEA that has forever changed the way we communicate. Within his DNA was a coded IDEA that included the blueprint he used to create a product that blessed the world, built his abundant future, left a legacy for our world and created a giant footprint around the globe! All this started in his MIND - his mind was his currency.  Simply consider the cars we drive, the food that we eat, the houses we live in, the clothing we wear, the information we impart, the institutions and communities we build were all inspired, created and birthed in the form of an IDEA.

While you are waiting for your financial windfall or breakthrough know that you are rich beyond measure and you are the manifestation of an IDEA! You are here by God's design, he called you, chose you and has already provided for you.  But you must do the work. The United Negro College Fund insists, "The mind is a terrible thing to waste."  Stop wasting your mind and time complaining about what you don't have and spend more time working to bring your idea's to fruition. Start working on your product, service and business plan. Put your mind to work because our world or someone in it is waiting to  be blessed by you.  The mind is currency, spend and invest it wisely.

"Don't live any longer the way this world lives. Let your way of thinking be completely changed. Then you will be able to test what God wants for you. And you will agree that what he wants is right. His plan is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2
